'Tevar' has a realistic tone: Arjun Kapoor

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 Oct, 2014 08:05 AM
  • 'Tevar' has a realistic tone: Arjun Kapoor
His next release is "Tevar" and Arjun Kapoor says that the film may be a remake of Telugu film "Okkaddu", but its realistic tone would make it a different watch.

Directed by Gunasekhar, "Okkaddu" had stars like Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla in the cast.

"'Okkaddu' was made in 2003 and I had seen the film even before 'Ishaqzaade'. We have tried to make a film oriented film and not a star oriented film. 'Tevar' has a realistic tone," Arjun told reporters at the ongoing Mumbai Film Festival.

The "Tevar" promotion has kicked off and Arjun chose social networking website Twitter to post the first look of the film.

When asked why, he said: "I wanted to see the reaction because we are making films for the audience. Twitter creates awareness and is the best way to communicate with them. I hope they watch the film and enjoy it."

The actor is currently in the news for his link-up with his "Tevar" co-star Sonakshi Sinha.

When asked if the romance rumour is part of the marketing strategy, he said: "All these link-ups come only when media feels like writing about it. Why are we writing when there is no truth to it? The fault lies in both the parties."

Directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Arjun's father Boney, "Tevar" is likely to come out early next year.
