  • The Day We Become Good Indians, All Issues Will End: Dharmendra
Veteran actor Dharmendra says the day everyone becomes a "good Indian", all the "small issues" which are very prevalent in the country will fade away.

Did his new production "Ghayal Once Again" undergo any trouble as the dynamics of the censor board have changed over the years?

"This country, which we call mother India... Nobody considers it as a mother. Whoever gets whatever in their hands, they do that. But people don't take care of this country. There is some or the other disturbance. If first everyone becomes a good Indian, then things will change," Dharmendra told reporters here while promoting his son Sunny Deol's directorial.

The 80-year-old "Yamla Pagla Deewana" actor added that "the day we become a good Indian, all these small issues will finish."

He also emphasised that knowing Indian culture, "we know what we have to give in films".

"We know our culture and thoughts," Dharmendra said.

"Ghayal Once Again", which will release on Friday, is produced by Dharmendra and stars Sunny and Soha Ali Khan in pivotal roles.

CANNOT STAY AWAY FROM CAMERA

Even at 80, his spirit akin to an 18-year-old! Veteran actor Dharmendra says he cannot stay away from the camera and is thinking of making another film with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol.

Dharmendra has shared screen space with his sons in films like "Apne" and "Yamla Pagla Deewana".

Asked when the three of them will be seen together on the silver screen again, Dharmendra said: "I cannot stay away from the camera... We are thinking of some scripts with Sunny and Bobby. We are thinking... because without this, we can't stay and hopefully we come with a good script again."

Dharmendra, who was here to promote Sunny's forthcoming film "Ghayal Once Again", added that "if we three are there and a real script is there, then nothing else is needed."

Which film of his would Dharmendra like to remake or make a part two of?

"If you start thinking to make some sequel, it's a bit difficult. Whatever (films that) left an impact on my people (audience) that film would require to be more strong. I have to make it stronger... And doing that is very difficult," the "Loha" actor said.

Talking about his favourite Sunny Deol film, Dharmendra said: "The first film by Sunny 'Betaab' is my favourite film... My son lives the roles, he doesn't (just) act it."

Directed and written by Sunny, "Ghayal Once Again" is produced by Dharmendra.

The film, which also stars actress Soha Ali Khan, is slated to release on Friday.
