ALPHA

Release date: July 3, 2026
Directed by: Shiv Rawail
Starring: Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Bobby Deol

The recently dropped teaser of YRF’s next addition to its expanding spy-verse, Alpha, has only heightened anticipation for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest action spectacles of the year. The teaser offers a glimpse into the journey of a young girl (Alia Bhatt) who is trained by her father (Bobby Deol) to become a ruthless and highly skilled operative. Packed with adrenaline-fueled action and slick visuals, the film promises to deliver edgy entertainment. An official press release from the makers stated, “Alpha is a true-blue popcorn entertainer that is intended to be a celebration of the Alpha attitude of two girls in a never-been-done-before action film fronted by women in cinema.” Alpha is set to create mayhem on the big screen; after all, saving the world isn’t exclusively a boys' thing.

DHAMAAL 4

Release date: July 10, 2026
Directed by: Indra Kumar
Starring: Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, Anjali Anand

The Dhamaal franchise, as the name suggests, has consistently delivered chaos, comedy, and complete dhamaal. The fourth instalment promises to be the biggest comedy celebration of 2026. While the plot remains tightly under wraps, fans of the franchise know exactly what to expect—an ensemble cast, outrageous situations, and a crazy ride to search for money, treasure, or both. Speaking about the film, Esha Gupta said, “I can’t wait for the audiences to see the madness we have created. Wrapping up the shoot feels truly special because this film is pure entertainment, and I am thrilled to be part of it.” Well, we hope you all are gearing up for the Dhamaal madness once again.

MAATRUBHUMI: MAY WAR REST IN PEACE

Release date: August 14, 2026
Directed by: Apoorva Lakhia
Starring: Salman Khan, Chitrangada Singh

After facing several setbacks, Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace (formerly titled Battle Of Galwan) is finally set to arrive during Independence Week. Loosely inspired by a chapter from Shiv Aroor's non-fiction book India's Most Fearless, which chronicles the 2020 China–India combat at the LOC, the film stars Salman Khan as Colonel B. Santosh Babu. Combining classic themes of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism, the project seeks to shine a light on the often-unseen struggles of those who serve the nation. Director Apoorva Lakhia shared, “At its heart, the film is about humanity, empathy, and the silent battles our soldiers fight. Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace captures that emotion and sacrifice far more truthfully. It reflects the soul of the story, preserving humanity even in the face of conflict.”

BHEDIYA 2

Release date: August 14, 2026
Directed by: Amar Kaushik
Starring: Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee

Varun Dhawan is ready to unleash his wild side again in the much-awaited Bhediya 2, the next chapter in Maddock Films’ rapidly growing horror-comedy universe. The first film followed Bhaskar’s transformation into a werewolf after being bitten by a mythical wolf, ultimately turning him into an unlikely protector of the forest. The sequel is expected to delve deeper into his supernatural abilities. Director Amar Kaushik explained, “Now that the universe is expanding, Bhediya can’t remain just another beast. There was a need to give him more powers. Once he gets powers, what happens? We mulled over it and finally decided to make him bigger and more khunkhar.” Bhediya 2 seems ready to howl louder than ever, are you ready to catch it on the big screen?

VVAN–FORCE OF THE FORREST

Release date: August 28, 2026
Directed by: Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra
Starring: Tamannaah Bhatia, Sidharth Malhotra

Rooted in mythology, Vvan - Force of the Forrest is a high-concept mythological folk thriller, which is sure to get you glued to your seats from the beginning. Adding to the excitement is the creative force behind it—TVF’s Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra of ‘Panchayat’ fame. While the makers have revealed very little about the storyline, it is believed to be positioned as a dark, intense film that narrates the story of a rational, city-bred man who returns to his ancestral village, dismissing its age-old beliefs as superstition. But when he crosses its boundaries, he unknowingly awakens an ancient, divine force—a goddess whose power defies everything he understands about the world. Speaking about the project, Sidharth Malhotra shared on social media, “Excited to be part of this folk thriller, with a powerhouse team. Can’t wait for you all to experience VVAN - Force of the Forrest.”  To be honest, we can’t wait either.
