The Kapil Sharma Show: Why Did Kapil Replace Navjot Singh Sidhu With Archana Puran Singh?

  • The Kapil Sharma Show: Why Did Kapil Replace Navjot Singh Sidhu With Archana Puran Singh?
Kapil Sharma is fighting many battles simultaneously. Struggling with decreasing TRPs and absence of Sunil Grover, Sharma now has a new problem to tackle on The Kapil Sharma Show.

There are reports that he has replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu with Archana Puran Singh as the judge on the show. It so happened that Sidhu took leave of some days from the shooting of the show due to his health. He also informed Kapil about his unavailability.

"It feels weird sitting on Sidhu ji's chair as we all are so used to seeing him on this throne. Kapil called me the same day of the shoot and I couldn't say no to an old friend as we go back a long way," Archana said in a statement.

"I'm here only for a few episodes, once Sidhu ji is fit and fine, he will take over his throne. I will miss the show when he comes back and I'll always be waiting for Kapil to call me to come again on this show," she added.

It was a surprising move on part of Kapil as this wasn’t the first time he was dealing with Sidhu’s absence from the show. In an earlier episode, he had put Sidhu’s cut-out on his chair and refrained from calling anybody else in his place.

Lately, Sunil Grover has given hints that he might return to The Kapil Sharma Show. Nothing has been finalised yet. Similarly, Ali Asgar has also moved on to perform solo in different parts of the country.

In a situation such as this, getting Sidhu upset will be the last thing on Kapil Sharma’s agenda.
