Tisca Chopra Wants To Entertain Audiences With Comedy

Darpan News Desk IANS, 10 Oct, 2015 12:14 PM
Actress Tisca Chopra, most popular for her work in films such as "Taare Zameen Par" and "Rahasya", says that she wants to do comedy films because she wants to "entertain the audiences in a particular way".

"My job is to see myself as an entertainer. Now I think I should do a comedy because I have done dramatic films or crime thrillers like 'Rahasya'. In my upcoming film, I've played a lawyer and done other such roles too but I've not done a comedy film since several years. I feel like doing comedy because I want to entertain the audience in a particular way," Tisca told media after a debate related to Aarushi Talwar murder case at a college here.

The actress said that she doesn't want to make films to give a message.

"If I wanted to give a message, I would've become a politician and not an actor. I would have written books, or travelled over villages to spread message or become a social servant. My only message to people is that come, watch the movie, enjoy it and if you like it watch it 2-3 times," she added.

She also said that her "most important job is to entertain people in the cinema halls."

"The message comes across by the way in some films like 'Taare Zameen Par' but I don't consider films to be just a medium to convey social issues, but a medium for entertainment," she added.

Tisca will next be seen in "Ghayal Once Again". She will also mark her Telugu debut with Ram Charan-starrer upcoming actioner "Bruce Lee".
