TV a bigger medium than films: Remo D'Souza

Darpan News Desk IANS, 16 Jun, 2016 11:37 AM
Choreographer-director Remo D'Souza, who is returning to the small screen as the super-judge of the second season of "Dance +", says TV is a bigger medium than films to connect with the audience.

"I think both (TV and films) are good, but I believe TV is a bigger medium because it is in every household. For films, they (audiences) have to come out and watch them in the theatre, but a TV is in the house. So, TV is a bigger medium," D'Souza told IANS here on Thursday.

He says that the second season of "Dance +" is going to be better than the first.

"I was never confident about other seasons doing better than the first in any other show, but this one, because I have seen the talent, I know that this season is much better than the first one for sure," he said.

Apart from D'Souza, the show will see dancers Dharmesh Yalande and Shakti Mohan as the captains. Punit Pathak is a new addition to the show. He will be seen as the third captain in the Star Plus show, which will air from July 2.

Talking about Punit, D'Souza said: "He is very talented... It's a plus for us. There will be a tough competition for the other two (Dharmesh and Shakti) mentors. He brings a lot of new ideas in the show and he is very close to me also."

To be hosted by dancer Raghav Juyal, popularly known for his stage name Crockroaz, the show is produced by Frames productions and will be aired every Saturday and Sunday.
