  • Upasana Singh Happy Doing All Kinds Of Roles
"Comedy Nights With Kapil" fame actress Upasana Singh, who is often tagged as a comic actor, stresses on the fact that she has done all kinds of roles in more than two decades of her acting career.

"Till today, I've always tried to do different kind of roles. I had begun my career with emotional films - Rajasthani film 'Bai Chali Sasariye'. Later I did several films as a heroine, and made the audience cry a lot. I even did action films, where I would play a dacoit or a police officer," Upasana said at the film launch event of actor Ravi Kishan.

"Then I did roles such as the ones in a 'Bani - Ishq Da Kalma' and 'Sonpari', where I portrayed the negative role. And I made the audiences laugh a lot in numerous films such as 'My Friend Ganesha', 'Loafer', 'Judaai', 'Hungama'. So, there is no type of role that I have not attempted till now," she added.

Her role as Pinky Bua, who is always searching for a groom for herself in Kapil Sharma's 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', is extremely popular and has become her identity of sorts.

But she'll now be seen as a teacher in Shabana Azmi-Juhi Chawla starrer 'Chalk N Duster'.

"For the last year and more, I've been doing a lot of comedy. But this ('Chalk N Duster') is completely different. I thought as an actor I have always tried different fields and I've done emotional films before too. So, doing this was fun," Upasana said.

She also said 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' team was planning to do a play called, 'Chatpati Bua Ka Swayamvar' all over the world.

She is currently shooting for a film, 'Yeh Picture Pakistan Me Bani Hai'.
