Watch Kalank Teaser: Alia Bhatt Loves Varun Dhawan But Marries Someone Else?

Darpan News Desk IANS, 12 Mar, 2019 09:21 PM

The makers of the film just dropped its 2:05 minutes teaser and it has created a whole lot of suspense.

The official description of the video reads: “Set in 1945, in Pre-Independence India, ‘Kalank’ is a tale of eternal love”.

Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, ‘Kalank’ the impressive multi-starrer film brings Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt on the same screen.

In the teaser, Dhawan’s can be heard saying, “Some relationships are like debts which need to be paid off”.

Alia’s says: “There’s nobody more damaged than a person who takes other’s failure as his or her’s achievement”.

The teaser doesn’t give anything about the plot of the film, presumably, it deals with unstable human relationships.

In the first half of the teaser, the cast of ‘Kalank’ is introduced in this order Madhuri Dixit as Begum Bahaar, then comes Sonakshi Sinha as Satya and Alia Bhatt as Roop is the final character to be introduced from the "Women Of Kalank" cast.

Varun Dhawan is introduced next as the daredevil Zafar, who plays a bull-fighter, followed by Aditya Roy Kapur's Dev Chaudhary. Last but definitely not the least is Sanjay Dutt as the "formidable" Balraj Chaudhary.

In the second half of the teaser Roop and Dev Chaudhary are presented in front of a wedding ‘mandap’. Begum Bahaar and Balraj Chaudhary also share screen space in the teaser for a blink.

After seeing the teaser, the fans have already declared the movie to be blockbuster.

Conceptualised by Producer Karan Johar and his late father Yash Johar almost 15 years ago, "Kalank" is an epic drama set in the 1940s.

It is slated to release on April 17, 2019.
