WATCH Thackeray Trailer: Nawazuddin Siddiqui Is Balasaheb Thackeray's Spitting Image In Biopic

    The trailer of probably one of the most anticipated film Thackery is finally out and it will give you goosebumps.

     

    The trailer has been released in an event held in Mumbai with the film's cast along with the presence of Thackeray's son and present Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, his family and other leaders of the party.

     

    The drama film is based on the life of Bal Thackeray, the founder of Shiv Sena. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is essaying the role of Bal Thackeray in the film and he is so convincing that you'll be stunned by his performance. Thackery also features Amrita Rao as Meena Tai Thackeray.

     

     

    Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, Dr. Shrikant Bhasi, Mrs. Varsha Sanjay Raut, Ms. Purvashi Sanjay Raut & Ms. Vidhita Sanjay Raut, Thackeray is scheduled to release 25th January 2018 in Marathi & Hindi. The film has been directed by Abhijit Panse.

     

    The trailer of the film, which is also written by Sanjay Raut, exalts the Marathi nationalist as a 'fighter', whose 'life changed history' and whose 'courage changed lives'. Going by its trailer, the film seems to be a glorification of a politician who has been incarcerated multiple times for electoral malpractices and spewing hatred on Muslims.
