We Need To Respect Producers More: Sunil Shetty

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 Jun, 2015 12:53 PM
  • We Need To Respect Producers More: Sunil Shetty
Actor-producer Sunil Shetty feels that being a producer is the most challenging job in the filmmaking process and one should respect them more.

Sunil had come out to support Vinod Kapri's quirky satire "Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho" during the screening of the film. The film got embroiled in a Khap controversy for narrating a story of a man who is falsely accused by a village strongman of raping a buffalo.

"Having a relationship with co-stars or directors is fine but the most important relationship in films is with the producers. They are the one who invests huge amount of money and sometimes even sell their house for making films. So i believe that this industry doesnt respect the producers," Sunil told reporters.

"We need to respect producers more because if there is any loss, it is for the producer to bear. Actor and directors move on," he added.

Sunil has also tried his hand as a producer when he co-produced films such as "Khel", "Rakht", "Mission Istaanbul", "EMI" and "Loot". He also co-produced "Bhagam Bhag" that made substantial money for him.
