Why Question Women, Asks Kalki

Darpan News Desk, 17 Apr, 2015 11:56 AM
Known for her frank stance on women-related issues, actress Kalki Koechlin, who has impressed critics and audiences with "Margarita With A Straw", wonders why a woman is questioned even for a "good initiative".

Reacting to how Deepika Padukone's "My Choice" video on women empowerment drew mixed reactions, she said: "I'm happy Deepika made this video. We don't think much when it's about men, but we question women. The initiative is very good."

"When it comes to women's empowerment, it's about equality. Women and men are not paid the same amount for the same job, that's the biggest problem. Even in the West, women should get paid as that of men."
