Will Prove Hrithik Has Had No Relationship With Kangana: Lawyers

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Apr, 2016 01:58 PM
  • Will Prove Hrithik Has Had No Relationship With Kangana: Lawyers
Actor Hrithik Roshan and his lawyers seem to be in no mood to step back a bit from the ongoing legal battle with Kangana Ranaut. They said they will prove their client Hrithik has had no relationship with the actress.

Hrithik's lawyers told IANS: "The facts have been now presented to the authorities. Let's not get confused in this war of words. We will prove that our client Hrithik Roshan has had no relationship with Kangana Ranaut. We have presented solid evidences of this nature to the investigating authorities. They should present any credible evidence if they have to those who are authorized to investigate this matter."

The lawyers added: "We are not interested in playing the game of notices and counter-notices. We are only pursuing this to bring out the correct facts and that will happen through bonafide investigation. Facts will very soon come out. We would like to remind that this case is not about man vs woman, powerful vs weak, it's about lie vs truth."

The counter statement was sent by Hrithik's team after Kangana's lawyer Rizwan Siddiquee issued a statement on Thursday evening.

Siddiquee stated: "My client Ms. Kangana Ranaut has alleged that Mr. Hrithik Roshan was continuously hacking her email accounts due to which she was forced to shut and abandon her two primary email accounts more than eight months ago. These allegations were also contained in my counter notice cum reply dated March 1, 2016, to which Hrithik has still not replied despite lapse of more than fifty (50 days)."

"It is a matter of record that Hrithik filed his FIR only on March 5, 2016, i.e. after my client claimed that her emails were hacked. It is therefore apparent that the emails that Hrithik is referring to or relying upon, in all probabilities are not genuine at all and could largely be fabricated."

"In any event my client is bold enough to admit and accept the emails which were genuinely communicated to Hrithik on his correct email id, only once she verifies the contents of the same."

"Until such verification and acceptance on the part of my client, any emails circulated by Hrithik to the media in an effort to tarnish my client's name and image or to put pressure on her and/or to outrage her modesty should be treated as fabricated," he added.

Issues began when Kangana recently hinted at Hrithik being her 'ex' when she said in an interview that she fails to understand "why exes do silly things to get your attention".

Siddiquee's statement read: "Hrithik needs to understand that by circulating such unreliable emails or by asking my client to relinquish all her legal rights and liberties and quietly record her statement with the police without asking any questions, proves the extent of his desperation and nothing else."

"If he really wants to clear his public image, then he should answer all questions publicly and not keep quiet on the main subject matter of his notice. Such acts of deviation or putting pressure will not work with my client. His acts of commissions and omissions have proved it all, so far. Hope better sense prevails before it is too late."

EMAILS SUBMITTED UNVERIFIED, SAYS KANGANA LAWYER; HRITHIK LAWYERS HIT BACK

Kangana Ranaut's lawyer has termed her emails submitted by actor Hrithik Roshan to the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell as "out-of-context, unreliable and unverified" but his lawyers fought back, asking what purpose were they fighting for.

"We know our client is fighting for clearing his name but we are unclear what they are fighting for? Is the fight from their end only to establish 'implied' association with our client?" said Hrithik's lawyers in a statement.

"For us this fight is a worthy cause because our client is fighting to save his reputation as he was brutally attacked and unbelievable lies were circulated with impunity, but we fail to understand the motivation of the other party. We have already submitted all the evidences that is required to the authorities. We have been dutifully following the procedure and the truth will come out," the statement said.

"They are trying to confuse the matter when this is a simple case of spreading lies. If by their own admission they haven't referred to our client, Hrithik Roshan, as 'silly ex' and if by that they are meaning that he hasn't had a romantic relationship their client, then there is no fight between us. But they have been slyly implying things and we are committed to bring clarity to the entire episode."

Kangana's advocate Rizwan Siddiquee said that "by circulating some out-of-context unreliable and unverified emails to the media together with some unreliable private forensic reports", Hrithik had "finally proved that he has lost complete trust in the legal system as well as patience and shall go to any extent to cause damage to my client's name, image and reputation and instill fear in her mind".

Issues between the two began when Kangna hinted at Hrithik being her "ex-boyfriend" when she said in an interview that she fails to understand "why exes do silly things to get your attention".
