  • Won't Ever Be Able To Return Love Of Audience: Shah Rukh Khan
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who received the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2015 for his performance in the 2014 film “Happy New Year”, has thanked his fans and audiences for showering him with love throughout.

The superstar, who has won epithets like 'King Khan', 'Baadshah' and 'King of Romance' thanks to films like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Veer-Zaara" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...", was honoured at an event here on Tuesday.

The 49-year-old, who looked dapper in a black suit, even charmed the audience at the ceremony with his iconic romantic pose by opening up his arms wide.

“Thank you for thinking that I deserve this award. I have been working since past 20-22 years and several noted people have appreciated my work, people from across the globe have showered their love and appreciation... I don’t think I will ever be able to return that,” the actor said while accepting the award.

Apart from riding on Shah Rukh's star power,“"Happy New Year", directed by Farah Khan, has an ensemble comprising Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff.

A heist drama, with dollops of dance and music, it set the box office registers ringing by raking in a whopping Rs.44.97 crore on the first day. The film hit the screens on October 24 last year.
