Young Composers Are Doing A Fantastic Job: Anu Malik

  • Young Composers Are Doing A Fantastic Job: Anu Malik
Composer Anu Malik has been entertaining music lovers for almost four decades, but he doesn't shy away from admitting that the youngsters are talented as well.

He was honoured with Pride of the Industry award at Sansui Colors Stardust Awards on Wednesday, and Malik feels that bagging an award amongst young and talented people is a personal victory.

"It was a great moment. People are saying I fought back. Today, young composers are very talented and I believe they are doing a fantastic job. Getting an award amongst such talented people...I take it as a personal victory.

"It was an emotional moment for me," said the composer at the felicitation ceremony, organised by Videocon.

In recent work, Malik has composed songs for Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer "Dum Laga Ke Haisha". The singer-cum-composer has also won Best Music Director Award for the same.

"I also received Zee Cine award, which was a huge moment for me. My work was nominated alongside movies like "Tamasha", "Bajirao Mastani", "Roy" and "Dil Dhadakne Do". All are superb... but 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' was selected. It is a big thing," he said.
