Your Marks Not Your Destiny: Rajkummar Rao

Darpan News Desk IANS, 21 May, 2015 04:07 PM
He never scored 90 percent or above in his school days, but that didn't deter Rajkummar Rao from finding success. The critically acclaimed actor believes scores in school not necessarily decide one's future.

Just days after the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) 2015 results, Rajkummar said: "Your marks are not your destiny. There is no correlation between your marks today and what you become in life tomorrow. So, don't lose heart and celebrate each day."

The "Queen" actor, who graduated from the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College in Delhi, strongly believes that marks are not the end of one's life. And that his life can be an example for all those who have not fared good scores as they expected to achieve.

A National Award winner for his performance in the film "Shahid", Rajkummar feels that teenagers today should pick what they like as a career opportunity and then work for it passionately -- just as he did.

On the work front, the actor recently wrapped up the shoot for Hansal Mehta's next titled "Aligarh" and will be next seen in Mohit Suri's "Hamari Adhuri Kahani".
