Zarine Khan Hasn't Quit Divine Lovers. She's Excited to Work With Irrfan

Darpan News Desk, 18 Aug, 2016 12:08 PM
Zarine Khan rubbished reports that she has opted out of Divine Lovers and says she is excited to work with Irrfan Khan in the film.

Earlier this year, director Sai Kabir had confirmed that the Hate Story 3 star had replaced Kanagna Ranaut in the project. Recently, however, there were reports that Zarine left the project.

When asked about it, Zarine told, "I don't know where this news came from about me not doing it. I think somebody tried asking me about it at an event and I said, 'I'll talk about it later, it's not the occasion'. Then the story came out that 'She is not doing it'."

"I, in fact, never said I am doing the movie from my end. The director gave out the quote that I am doing the film," she added.

Divine Lovers is billed as an adventure comedy and will see the 29-year-old actress pair opposite Irrfan for the first time.

"I am more than happy that the film is offered to me, and I'll be working with Irrfan sir who is such a great actor. Working with him is the biggest thing. I'll be getting to learn so much from him," she said

It revolves around the lower middle-class section of society and is set in the heartland of India. The movie was scheduled to go on floors this September, but now will begin early next year.

The Veer actress said it will be best for her to comment more on the project in detail once the makers start talking about it.

"It was supposed to start somewhere in September-October, but due to some reasons it has been pushed forward to the beginning of next year. There is nothing that I am not doing it. When the makers of the film start talking about it, it will be right for me to comment more rather than saying anything right now," she said.
