Actor Benedict Cumberbatch announced his engagement to girlfriend and theatre director Sophie Hunter through an advertisement.
The 38-year-old actor's parents published a 324 pounds advertisement in the marriages section of Britain's newspaper The Times, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The piece read: "Mr BT. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London".
The couple first met when they both starred in "Burlesque Fairytales" in 2009. However, the wedding date has not been revealed yet.
