Beyonce and her husband, rapper Jay Z, performed at a concert in support of Hillary Clinton in Ohio, a state in which the Democratic nominee and her Republican rival, Donald Trump are battling for decisive votes.

"I want my daughter to grow up seeing a women lead our country and knowing that her possibilities are limitless," said Beyonce, expressing her complete support for Clinton at the concert on Friday in which other artists including Chance the Rapper, J Cole and Big Sean also performed.

"We have to think about the future of our daughters, our sons, and vote for someone who cares for them as much as we do. And that is why I'm with her," the singer added.

Meanwhile, Jay Z introduced Clinton as the "next president of the US", adding that "this other guy" - in a reference to Trump - "cannot be my president", Efe news reported.

"When I see them, here this passion and energy and intensity, I don't even know where to begin. Because this is what America is my fiends," said Clinton in her remarks at the concert.

At the rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, held at the same time as the concert, Trump said he didn't need to bring stars to fill a stadium, in a dig at Clinton.

"I hear we set a new record for this building (where the rally was held). And by the way I didn't have to bring J-Lo or Jay-Z - the only way she gets anybody. I am here all by myself. I am all here all by myself. Just me. No guitar. No piano. No nothing," Trump said.

Last weekend, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony headlined another concert for Clinton in Miami, while Miley Cyrus headlined one in Virginia a month ago and Katy Perry, who has already performed at a campaign concert for the Democrat, will perform in another one on Saturday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with the former first lady.
