  • Bill Cosby Jokes In Canada About Sex Abuse Scandals
American comedian Bill Cosby joked during a show in London, Canada, about the accusations of sexual abuse made against him and said he is "far from finished", US media reported Friday.

According to news sources, a woman in the audience got up to go get a soft drink and the actor told her: "You have to be careful about drinking around me."

More than 20 women have told the media about supposed encounters with the famous comedian, who typically accuse him of drugging them with pills to sexually abuse them.

After laughing about the accusations during his show in London, a member of the audience interrupted him to call him a "rapist" and was made to leave the theatre.

The actor said in a communique after the show that his comments were just meant to be funny.

"One outburst but over 2,600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for humankind. Laughter," the actor said.

"I thank you, the theatre staff (at Budweiser Gardens), the event organisers and the London, ON Community for your continued honour and support. I'm far from finished," he said.

More than 100 people gathered at the theatre entrances crying "shame" and "rapist".

The actor's family and his representatives have rejected the accusations, as did the actress who played his wife on the popular TV comedy, "The Cosby Show", Phylicia Rashad, who said "forget these women" who are after the "destruction of a legacy... a legacy that is so important to the culture".

The comedian, 77, during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s starred in the model television comedy of the era, "The Cosby Show", which set a precedent on the small screen.
