Cate Blanchett Lists Australian Estate For $14.75 Million

IANS, 18 Aug, 2015 10:16 AM
Actress Cate Blanchett has placed her palatial Australian estate on the market for 20 million Australian dollars (approximately US $14.75 million).

The 46-year-old and husband Andrew Upton, 49, are ready to part with their five-bedroom waterfront property which is deemed fit for a queen. Overlooking the Lane Cove River here, the sandstone-faced mansion is set on a lush parcel of land in the exclusive suburb of Hunter Hills, reports pagesix.com.

Called Bulwarra, the estate was built in 1877.

“Often regarded as one of Sydney’s finest heritage homes, Bulwarra has undergone a carefully considered reinvention that seamlessly links the old and new,” said Ken Jacobs, an agent with Christie’s International Real Estate.

The master bedroom features a sky-lit dressing room and freestanding bath that boasts a sweeping view of the Australian landscape. Other amenities include a pool pavilion with large spa shaded by a pergola, a championship tennis court, a trampoline platform and a guesthouse.
