  • Daniel Radcliffe lauds Emma Watson's gender equality campaign

Los Angeles: Actor Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out in support of co-star Emma Watson's 'HeforShe' campaign, aimed at promoting gender equality.

"I think it's fantastic that she's bringing attention to it and adding to the conversation," Nylon magazine quoted Radcliffe as saying, reports people.com.

Watson's campaign asks men to lend support to the cause of gender equality, with the idea that equal rights for women cannot become a reality without advocates from both genders.

Radcliffe said treating women and men equally is pretty much part of his DNA.

The "Victor Frankenstein" actor says he finds the issue "bemusing, honestly, maybe because I have cool parents with a very equal marriage and have had good role models all my life".
