  • Hardworking Minaj seeks her man's esteem
Singer Nicki Minaj wants to be with someone who appreciates the hard work she puts into her career.

Minaj, who recently split from her boyfriend Safaree Samuels, says the relationship ended after 12 years because she's a "workaholic", reports femalefirst.com.

Talking about her breakup from Samuels at the "CRWN: A Conversation with Elliott Wilson and Nicki Minaj" event, she said: "I lost a big part of my life, and one of the reasons was because I was a workaholic. I couldn't focus on anyone else.

"Maybe they needed more attention, and I take care of my whole family. So if I'm gonna choose between working my a** off and giving you, one human being, all of my attention? You might get forgotten sometimes. Not because I don't love you, but because I got the weight of the f***ing world on my shoulders," she added.
