Jerry Seinfeld's India Debut Show Cancelled

Darpan News Desk IANS, 13 Mar, 2015 03:28 PM
Emmy and Golden Globe-winning stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld's debut performances in India on March 14 and 15 have been cancelled due to traffic and parking issues at the venue.

The performances were scheduled to take place at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium here.

"Fans who have purchased tickets for the shows will be issued a full refund by March 25 - details about the same have been e-mailed to all ticket buyers and a special helpline will be in operation from Monday onwards to address any queries that fans might have," said a statement from the organisers, Only Much Louder.

"The cancellation was unavoidable due to circumstances beyond the artist's and the organiser's control. Issues related to traffic and parking at the venue, which were brought to attention only recently, forced the cancellation of all artist travel arrangements," the statement further reads.

Seinfeld's comedy career took off after his first appearance on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" in 1981 and he later became the man behind comedy series "Seinfeld".
