Pop star Justin Bieber’s album "Purpose", which released on Friday, has topped charts within hours of its release.

It's the number one best selling album on Amazon India. It hit the second spot on iTunes India Charts within two to three hours of its release.

It also hit number one in 89 countries including his home country Canada on iTunes Charts.

His fans out here have been restlessly waiting for the new album to drop and today (Friday) it reflects on charts in India," Devraj Sanyal, managing director and CEO, Universal Music Group South Asia, said in a statement.
