Kapil Sharma Goes Berserk, Tweets Abuses Against Critics, Media And System After Salman Verdict

  • Kapil Sharma Goes Berserk, Tweets Abuses Against Critics, Media And System After Salman Verdict

After a slew of offensive and abusive posts from his Twitter page left fans surprised on Friday, actor-comedian Kapil Sharma said his account had been hacked.

"Hi all, please ignore the previous offensive tweets as my account was hacked. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. Love and regards to all," Kapil tweeted late in the afternoon.

Earlier, several tweets on his official Twitter handle, included one requesting the media to not make Salman Khan's conviction news "negative".

"He is a nice man and he will come out of it soon," read one tweet.

A few posts addressed fake news. "Agar main prime minister hota to fake news banane walo ko faansi laga deta (If I was the Prime Minister, I would have hanged those who spread fake news)."

A few of the tweets had abusive language in Hindi. Some were also targeted at a journalist "who only spread(s) negativity about me for very little money".

In another, he is angry with a media outlet for quoting a source in their story about him. When a fan told him not to use such language as he is a celeb, he said he is also human.

Kapil made a comeback to small screens recently with 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma' but it has failed to garner a positive response. Rumours are rife that soon the show will go off air. He hogged the limelight last year for his infamous mid-night brawl with fellow actor Sunil Grover. Followed by which Grover left his show along with other actors.

Meanwhile, several celebrities have extended their support to the Khan family after the sentence was pronounced.

Salman was held guilty in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case by a Jodhpur court and sentenced to 5-year jail term with a fine of Rs 10, 000 on April 5, 2018. The actor, who is lodged in Central Jail, Jodhpur will now have to spend another night inside as the Jodhpur Session's Court has reserved bail order till Saturday.

The 20-year-old case dates back to the shooting of the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in 1998. Other actors including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari were acquitted of all charges by the court.
