Kate Winslet Reunites With Cameron For 'Avatar' Sequels

    Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet has reunited with "Titanic" director James Cameron after 20 years for his upcoming "Avatar" sequels.
     
    "Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on 'Titanic', which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can't wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life," variety.com quoted Cameron as saying.
     
    Released in 2009, "Avatar" currently holds the record for highest grossing film till date with collections of $2.8 billion.
     
    The upcoming four sequels of the film will hit theaters starting on December 18, 2020 for "Avatar 2". 
     
    "Avatar 3" will release on December 17, 2021, followed by a three-year break for "Avatar 4", which is slated for December 20, 2024. "Avatar 5" will release on December 19, 2025.
     
    Cameron began filming the first of the four movies last week in California. 
     
    The films will mark the return of previous cast members including Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, CCH Pounder and Stephen Lang.
