Singer Katy Perry has hinted at being suicidal following her divorce from Russell Brand which left her in a dark place.
The 30-year-old, who got separated from the comedian in December 2011, has revealed the full extent of her depression during the aftermath of their divorce on the talk show "The Project" Monday, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"It was sad and there were thoughts, but there were never actions, thankfully," she said.
"Sometimes you can be blinded by your extreme emotion," added Perry.
Talking about her emotional song “By The Grace Of God”, she added: "(It) is the first song that I wrote coming to make this record, when I was in a different place, I was in a darker place.
"You always feel like you're the only one going through that. Well then comes along a song that speaks to you, that makes you feel like, 'Gosh, I can get through this. If she can get through this, I can get through this'".
