Mischa Barton sued for missing shooting

Darpan News Desk IANS, 19 Aug, 2014 07:43 AM
Actress Mischa Barton is facing a lawsuit over allegations she missed the beginning of shooting of "Promoted" because she was on vacation in Europe.

The producers behind the film have filed legal papers accusing the actress of derailing the production by her absence, reports contactmusic.com.

In the documents, they allege Barton missed the March 4 start date and claim they received an email from her mother which suggested the star was in Europe and would not be available until around two weeks after she was due to start work.

They are suing Barton to reclaim the $20,000 advance she was paid, as well as $200,000 in marketing expenses and an additional $100,000 in costs.
