British boyband One Direction are "over the moon" to be nominated for Favourite Music Group at the forthcoming Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
 
The "Little things" hitmakers are delighted to be contending for the Favourite Music Group Prize with Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and OneRepublic at the annual ceremony, which will take place March 28 at The Forum here, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
 
"We're over the moon to be nominated for Favourite Music Group at this year's Kids' Choice Awards. Thank you to Nickelodeon and of course to our incredible fans," One Direction band member Niall Horan told Us Weekly magazine.
 
Meanwhile, the Favourite Song of the Year category features only female contenders, with "All about that bass" by Meghan Trainor, "Bang bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, "Dark horse" by Katy Perry, "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX, "Problem" by Grande featuring Iggy Azalea, and "Shake it off" by Taylor Swift, all in the running for the prize.
