Prince Did Not Allow Staff To Make Eye Contact

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Apr, 2016 02:09 PM
  • Prince Did Not Allow Staff To Make Eye Contact
The “Little red corvette” hitmaker Prince's staff was not allowed to "look into his eyes".

The late singer, who passed away on April 21, had rules for his staff where they had to address him as "boss", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

According to graphic designer Lizz Frey, who worked with the music icon for a year in 1992, the singer's death brought back a "flood" of memories, including the strange set of rules he enforced when she knew him.

"It brings back, always, a flood of memories of that time. He had a rule, and that was we were always to call him boss, and never to look into his eyes directly," she said.

Despite the strict conventions, Prince made his team abide by, Frey, who was 24 at the time, says it was an honour and a "joy" to help him bring his ideas to life.

"I'm still taking it in. He was so alive. I'm trying to remember him that way. I was in my early 20s and what a joy it was at that time... I was hired by him to help him make his ideas come to life,” she said.
