Remo D'souza keen on Indian version of 'Avengers'

Darpan News Desk IANS, 08 Aug, 2016 02:35 PM
Choreographer-director Remo D'souza, whose forthcoming movie "A Flying Jatt" is based on the concept of a superhero, is keen to make a desi version of Hollywood movie "Avengers".

Asked if a film like Hollywood movie "Avengers" -- which has multiple superheroes -- will ever be made in Bollywood, Remo told IANS, "I am dying to make that possible, but that will only be possible once my film 'A Flying Jatt' works."

"I hope people make sure this film works so that audience starts believing that even we can make great superhero films. I'm definitely making an 'Avengers' after 'A Flying Jatt'."

"Avengers" is a popular comic series by Marvel Comics which has been made into two films already. The franchise is popular for the numerous superheroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow among others coming together in the same film.

Has he thought about the cast of the Indian version of "Avengers"?

Remo said: "I have my characters ready, so once 'A Flying Jatt' gets released, I will sit on the script and make it happen. I will have to see who fits the character. It will be an Indian 'Avengers'."

Meanwhile, Remo is also happy with the kind of response he has got for the trailer of his "A Flying Jatt", which features Tiger Shroff.

"I am really happy that people are liking the trailer. I believe people liked the idea of taking a different take on a superhero. It feels great and it encourages you to make many more films on this genre," he said.

The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nathan Jones.
