Singer Selena Gomez is said to be planning to move to New York City from here so that she can finally move on from her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
The 22-year-old singer split from Bieber last October after four years of dating.
"She wants to buy a place in Manhattan. She really needs to get over Justin and feels like living in New York City will give her the privacy she needs," a source close to Gomez told InTouch magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The "Come and get it" hitmaker previously admitted her best friend, Taylor Swift was trying to convince her to relocate to the east coast of the US.
Speaking last year, she said: "Taylor has been begging me to live there. She's like, 'It's the best decision I've ever made.' Everyone always says I'm more New York when they meet me so maybe it would be good for me.
"I don't spend enough time there... I'd love to spend time in New York. I've always said that I want to have a love affair and live there."
But the 'Rudderless' star only recently decided to start looking for a property.
The insider added: "Moving to New York City will help Selena feel more grounded. She saw how Taylor moved to New York last year and absolutely loved it. She's hoping to have that, too."
