Steve Martin Shamed Into Deleting Carrie Fisher Tribute Tweet

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Dec, 2016 10:41 PM
Actor Steve Martin received backlash on Twitter for a tribute he paid to late actress Carrie Fisher. He deleted the tweet later.

"When I was a young man, Carrie Fisher was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. She turned out to be witty and bright as well," the actor tweeted on Tuesday. It has been deleted, reports foxnews.com.

Some said Martin's tweet had a sexist undertone.

However, many fans came to Martin's defence and said backlash over his tweet was uncalled for.
