  • Was Terrified Of Damaging My Ring: Nicole Kidman On Oscars Clap
People made fun of her after seeing her clapping in a weird manner at the 89th Academy Awards last month. However, actress Nicole Kidman says it was her diamond ring that made her do so.

Kidman was trolled when viewers noticed that her hands barely touch as she attempted to clap alongside her husband Keith Urban, reports express.co.uk.

She says she was afraid of damaging her Harry Winston diamond ring if she clapped properly.

"It was really awkward, and I was like, 'Gosh, I really want to clap'," Kidman said on a radio show.

"I don't want to not be clapping, which would be worse right? 'Why isn't Nicole clapping?'"

"So therefore, I'm clapping but it was really difficult because I had this huge ring on which was not my own but was absolutely gorgeous and I was terrified of damaging it," she added.
