'X-men: Apocalypse': Rose Byrne To Return

Darpan News Desk IANS, 02 Feb, 2015 02:57 PM
  • 'X-men: Apocalypse': Rose Byrne To Return
Screenwriter Simon Kinberg says the superhero film “X-Men: Apocalypse” will bring back actress Rose Byrne's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent character Moira MacTaggert.

The character previously appeared in “X-Men: First Class” in which her memory was wiped by Charles Xavier. She was not included in the second installment “X-Men: Days of Future Past”.

"She's a significant character in the movie. We ended 'First Class' with Charles having wiped portions of her memory of her experience with the X-Men. They are, essentially, strangers to her when she meets them," ew.com quoted Kinberg as saying.

Moreover, he said fans might expect more storyline between Xavier and MacTaggert.

“It's certainly a rich relationship that we started to dig into in 'First Class', and would like to mine more in this one,” he said.

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender will return as Professor Xavier and Magneto respectively.

Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters will reprise their roles as Mystique, Beast and Quicksilver.
