  • Ballet Kelowna - A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Ballet Kelowna presents the full-length ballet A Streetcar Named Desire by renowned Canadian choreographer John Alleyne.

Adapted from Tennessee Williams’ 1947 Pulitzer Prize winning drama, Alleyne’s Streetcar combines compelling dance with lavish costumes and an original jazz score by BC-based composer Tobin Stokes. The complexities of Williams’ play explores themes of vitality and fragility and the struggle between the dying aristocracy and the working class.
