Aziz Ansari to perform at JFL NorthWest 2019

    JFL NorthWest, Vancouver’s Just For Laughs Festival, in association with SiriusXM, is ecstatic to announce the undeniably hilarious and brilliant Aziz Ansari as the first headliner for the 4th annual comedy festival, taking over Vancouver, B.C. this coming February.
     
    Comedian, actor, writer, producer and director, Aziz Ansari, got his start in the beloved television series, NBC’s Parks and Recreation. In 2015, he became one of the only headlining comedians to ever sell out New York City’s Madison Square Garden. His two sold-out performances at the legendary arena were filmed for his fourth comedy special, AZIZ ANSARI: LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, which was released on Netflix in March 2015 to rave reviews. Ansari has appeared in many critically-acclaimed films, including Columbia Pictures’ This Is The End, Universal Pictures’ Funny People and Get Him To The Greek, and more. Most notably and recently, this comedy heavyweight has starred, written and directed “Master of None,” a Netflix original comedy series that he co-created with Alan Yang (“Parks and Recreation”). 
     
    Now in its second season, Ansari won the 2016 and 2017 Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and has received five additional nominations including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2016 and 2017, Outstanding Comedy Series in 2016 and 2017 and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series in 2016.  He won the 2017 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a TV Series, Comedy and the show was nominated in 2016 and 2017 for Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy. Ansari is returning to the stand-up stage with his new tour, Aziz Ansari – Road to Nowhere.
