Various locations16 Jan '20 to 02 Feb '20 @ 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Tis the season to taste! Dine Out Vancouver Festival’s event tickets are now available for purchase. In addition to prix fixe menus at a record-breaking number of participating restaurants across the city, foodies can choose from a range of unique culinary events happening between January 16 and February 2, 2020.

Kicking off the festival is The Great Big Taste at the Rocky Mountaineer Station, on Thursday, January 16. This grazing-style tasting event celebrates the local culinary and beverage scene featuring top Metro Vancouver restaurants, BC craft breweries, distilleries, cideries and BC VQA wines. Proceeds will benefit the BC Hospitality Foundation, Dine Out Vancouver’s official charitable partner.

Brand new in 2020 is The Punch Brunch, presented by The Alchemist magazine. A multi-course gourmet brunch at Botanist paired with cocktails created by Vancouver’s most celebrated bartenders, it’s an event unlike any other in the city. Expect lively cocktail demonstrations, jazzy live music and an exclusive sneak peek at 2021’s Vancouver Cocktail Week.

Also new is the Chinatown Dumpling Masterclass, presented by Historical Chinatown Tours daily from January 19 to February 2. Learn the secrets to making perfect authentic Chinese dumplings with creative ingredients and leave with a recipe to make at home. The class will include a 1-hour educational tour of Chinatown while shopping for fresh local ingredients, followed by 2-hours of hands-on preparation.

Learn more about sustainable seafood from the experts while visiting some of the most delicious and sustainable seafood restaurants in downtown Vancouver, on the Sustainable Seafood Walking Tour, presented by Oceanwise. At each of the 4-5 Oceanwise partner restaurants, guests will sample a seafood dish while the chef shares their story and talks about their own commitment to sustainability.

Throw on a cowboy hat and boots for a fun themed pop up, Farm in the City: BC Farm to Table, presented by Gaia Kitchen and Sweetery Café. Taste some of the finest produce that B.C. has to offer including organic grass-fed beef, duck raised without antibiotics, Fraser Valley pork, wild caught salmon, organic vegetables and BC berries, all served up family style.

Returning favourites include Taste of the Market at Lonsdale Quay, a tasting tour through North Vancouver’s public market including craft beer, fresh salmon, artisan cheese and more; Fanny Bay Oyster Bar’s Shucking Class, where guests will learn to shuck oysters from the experts; Medina Down Under: An Australia Day Wine Dinner, featuring Mediterranean-inspired, multi-course dinner, complete with wine pairings from Australia’s most famous wine-producing regions; and back by popular demand, don’t miss the opportunity to grab tickets for the Hawksworth Long Table Dinner Series in the luxurious private dining space, The York Room. Be sure to check the Culinary Events calendar for even more exciting events, including a range of unique culinary tours, and the return of Street Food City, for a 9th annual run, from January 17-19 and January 31 to February 6, 2020.

Not to be missed is the ever-popular Vancouver World Chef Exchange, welcoming star chefs from international culinary hubs for a series of four collaborative dinners. This year’s chefs hail from Monterrey, Auckland, Edmonton, Toronto, and Cork.
