One Love Westcoast Music and Community Festival happening at Swangard Stadium and the Rickshaw Theatre celebrating the music of the worlds and the Latin, African and Caribbean cultures. 
 
Latin Summer Fest, Van Music, and Super Chido Productions are joining forces to launch this first edition of the One Love Westcoast Festival featuring Afro Latino and Reggae cultures and music. This three-day event will be hosted at Swangard Stadium [Burnaby] on August 12 and 13, and a red carpet VIP concert on August 11 night at the Rickshaw Theatre. This Afro/Latin and Reggae International stage will house local and international acts bands such as Antidoping from Mexico. This year is made possible by financial support from Factor and City of Burnaby grants.
 
August 11 is the VIP concert with Antidoping, The Sentiments, La Kasquivana, and Ku J at the Rickshaw Theatre. Doors at 7 PM, tickets $30. Antidoping from Mexico, the reggae Ultra Mega stars are celebrating 25th years of resistance tour, known for championing the social causes of Latin America. Also from Mexico City, is La Kasquivana, an eight-piece ska band celebrating 10 years coming for the first time to Vancouver. Both bands are stellar and very popular in Mexico.    
 
The Sentiments from Portland will perform on Saturday, August 12 at the Swangard Stadium. The Sentiments are one of the fixtures of Portland, among their members are seasoned musicians that have played in some of the best musical projects in their state. The Sentiments is a classic ska band with a powerful female vocal.
 
On Saturday, at the Swangard Stadium, international guests will be welcomed by the enticing fusion local sounds of Sweet pan, drumming circles, Los Duendes, Coco Jaffro, Rumba 7, MNGWA, Les Rhumbes Machines, Impacto, Cada Uno among others. Food trucks, market place, information kiosks and DJs will cascade onto the venue to create the Coconut Village. Both days are open for all ages and tickets are $20 dollars per day.  Full Access pass is just $50.
