Showcasing the talents of B.C.’s chefs, the Salmon Capital Seafood Taste is a new addition to the BC Seafood Festival - expanding the festivities into Campbell River for the first time!

Taking place from 10:30am to 2:00pm on Sunday, June 11th at Spirit Square, this event will feature chef-inspired food stations with creative culinary delights crafted by:
• Chef Xavier Bauby, International Chef / Culinary Instructor (North Island College) – Cold Creative Salmon Organic Chinook Salad and Gravlax Lois Lake Steelhead Macaroon
• Chef Kathryn Guenette, Wild Blueberry Gourmet Eats – Sake Marinated Kyuquot Sound Sablefish over Crispy Rice Crackers
• Chef Dave Ryan, Culinary Team Canada Champion – Layered Cermaq Atlantic Salmon Cocktail
• Chef Siddharth Choudhary, Siddhartha’s Indian Kitchen – Barbecued “Indian Style” Marine Harvest Atlantic Salmon with Rice

Not to mention that Courtenay’s Luke Blu Guthrie will perform original rhythm and blues songs for your entertainment. “There’s no better way to celebrate Seafood Month than joining Campbell River’s aquaculture industry for a taste of B.C.’s fresh farm–raised fish,” said Jeremy Dunn, Executive Director, BC Salmon Farmers Association. “We’ve partnered with local chefs from Vancouver Island, as well as from Metro Vancouver, to create something special for the community.”

In order to give back to the community, there will be a minimum donation of $5/person. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
