Sustainable seafood walking tour at DOVF

Inside Holt Renfrew, 737 Dunsmuir St21 Jan '20 to 28 Jan '20 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

    Join the Ocean Wise Seafood team on a tour of some of the most delicious and sustainable seafood restaurants in downtown Vancouver! On this walking tour, we will visit 4-5 Ocean Wise partner restaurant who have committed to serving sustainable seafood on their menus. At each restaurant, participants will get to try a sample of one of their seafood dishes and learn from the chef about their story and commitment to sustainability. The tour will be led by staff from the Ocean Wise Seafood Program, a conservation program that educates businesses and consumers to make sustainable choices when purchasing seafood. With over 750 partners across the country, the program continues to be a leader in raising consumer awareness of seafood sustainability. Participants can expect to learn about sustainable seafood from the experts, meet other foodies, and try some delicious bites.

    Colette Grand Café (Holt Renfrew) - Colette Grand Café is a French-inspired restaurant located at Holt Renfrew Vancouver. Colette Grand Café celebrates the essence of French style, taking a modern approach to traditional cuisine.

    Fanny Bay Oyster Bar – This is Fanny Bay Oysters’ newest location and Vancouver’s only tide to table oyster bar and shellfish market. This flagship location provides the city with the freshest shellfish and seafood experience in British Columbia.

    Minami - Located in the vibrant Yaletown District, Minami combines traditional Japanese flavours with West Coast influences to create a dining experience that is both familiar and new. Minami is known for its Aburi cuisine, notably the Premium Aburi Oshi Sushi and other innovative main courses, as well as its extensive sake and beverage list. The restaurant is also active in embracing environmental responsibility and sustainability: Minami is proud to be longstanding partners with the Vivreau Water System as well as the local Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise Seafood Program to promote conscious, sustainable dining within the city.
