  • Alberta Ballet’s The Nutcracker returns to Vancouver

One of the city’s favourite holiday traditions returns to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre stage this festive season, featuring live music from the acclaimed Vancouver Symphony Orchestra! This magical production is set to delight audiences young and old and will include a local cast of over 70 children from the Lower Mainland, some as young as the age of eight!

This year, Ballet BC presents Alberta Ballet’s magical production of The Nutcracker, set in turn-of-the-century Imperial Russia, an era noted for its opulent grandeur. With choreography by Edmund Stripe, this spectacular production includes over one million dollars worth of stunning sets and costumes by the Emmy award-winning designer Zack Brown – all adorned with Swarovski crystals.

Performances for this yuletide tradition are as follows:
December 28, 2019 1:00pm
December 28, 2019 6:30pm
December 29, 2019 1:00pm
