  • Eternal Strings: Beginning of an eternal journey

"Empathy drives me. I was always passionate about being of assistance to others. With a strong background in sales, marketing, and a passion for helping others, I decided to launch Eternal Strings. Through this new venture, I hope to create a platform where people can connect and find their perfect match with ease and convenience."- Gail Bains, Founder of Eternal Strings

Love makes the world go round. Given that humans are inherently social animals, a sense of belonging, partnership, and companionship can be integral to happiness. While there are many sources to making such connections, a prominent way that has exponentially grown over the last decade is that of online dating platforms. However, there still exists a gap in the online dating market for South Asians looking to build genuine relationships, propelled by a solid, data-driven platform. Here to fill that gap is the founder of state-of-the-art online matrimonial site, called Eternal Strings, Gail Bains.

Rewinding to her background, Gail’ professional journey has always been full of exciting opportunities. After coming to Canada in 1986 with a diploma in Interior Decorating and a Bachelor of Arts that was no longer recognized in a new country, she began working at a fabric store. In April 1989, while on maternity leave after having her son Arvin, she completed a teller training course and quickly landed a part-time job with a bank. Within a week, the hardworking and motivated new employee was offered a full-time position because of her impressive work ethic and quick learning abilities.

Despite having a daughter with special needs in 1991, Gail continued to advance her career, working her way up from Part-Time Teller to Customer Service Representative, and eventually to Mortgage Sales Manager. After 17 years in banking, the caring mother made the difficult decision to leave her job in order to be more available for her daughter’s doctor appointments. Still motivated to succeed professionally, Gail then took a course at the University of British Columbia to become a realtor.

Yet again, she quickly excelled in her new career, leveraging her exceptional customer service skills and in-depth knowledge of the real estate and mortgage industry.

As Gail grew her network over the years, one thing she observed is how people around her were struggling to find suitable relationship matches. Over time, she began feeling the urge to create a solution and the idea for Eternal Strings was born. Gail details, “Empathy drives me. I was always passionate about being of assistance to others. With a strong background in sales, marketing, and a passion for helping others, I decided to launch Eternal Strings. Through this new venture, I hope to create a platform where people can connect and find their perfect match with ease and convenience.”

Eternal Strings finds its roots in the idea of assisting people in creating meaningful connections, through bespoke matchmaking skills, a secure platform, and technology. Dating can be a daunting experience; one may not know what expectations to set. Gail understands this concern faced by people and its repercussions as well. The importance of finding a compatible partner can play a crucial role in building a fulfilling life. Eternal Strings’s well-thought process is what sets it apart from other applications. The overarching goal is to make the journey of finding love seamless and enjoyable. Launched in March 2023, Eternal Strings can reach South Asians and other individuals residing anywhere in the world.

That said, while matchmaking is a beautiful process where two individuals are brought together to form a bond for eternity, many myths about matchmaking need to be addressed. Gail breaks down these preconceived notions and offers her perspective on combating wrongly assumed ideas:

Myth: Matchmaking is only for people who cannot find partners themselves.

Reality: Eternal Strings offers an exciting, personalized road to finding true love, with more access readily available at your fingertips vs. other methods.

Myth: There is a lack of authenticity with online matrimonial services.

Reality: Eternal Strings ensures that all profiles are authentic and verified, giving members peace of mind.

Myth: Inadequate matchmaking algorithms make it difficult to find suitable partners.

Reality: Eternal Strings aims to offer an advanced matchmaking algorithm based on compatibility and personal values to help members find their perfect match.

Myth: Because of safety and privacy concerns, personal information cannot be shared online.

Reality: Eternal Strings implements strict security measures, alongside clear and transparent privacy policies, to protect the personal information of its members.

Myth: Online matrimonial services have limited options when it comes to finding partners.

The platform’s unique compatibility matching system takes into account each member’s religious, cultural, and personal values to ensure compatibility. Gail elaborates, “In today’s diverse world, people are looking for partners who accept and appreciate their differences. Eternal Strings celebrates diversity and inclusivity, bringing people from all backgrounds together to find love.” To those who are looking to take advantage of all that Eternal Strings has to offer, Gail provides the following tips:

Complete your profile. A complete profile with accurate information is crucial for finding the right match. Make sure to fill out all the details and upload recent photos of yourself.

Take the time to get to know each other. Building a relationship takes time and effort, including chatting, video calling, or even meeting in person if possible.

Stay open-minded. People come from different backgrounds and have different lifestyles. Be willing to learn and understand different perspectives.

Be proactive. Don’t wait for the right match to come to you, take the initiative and reach out to members who catch your eye.

Be patient. Finding the right match takes time. Eternal Strings is here to help, and the perfect match is just around the corner.
