WATCH: Hari Varshney a Principal of Varshney Capital Corporation. Hari Varshney received the Advancing Philanthropy Award at the inaugral DARPAN AWARDS in 2010. A long-time supporter of UBC and many important charitable causes in B.C., Varshney’s philanthropy is evident in his remarkable service to the community over the past 25 years.

He is a valued volunteer with a long term relationship with St. Paul's Hospital Foundation and a member of the Campaign Executive Committee. 

He is a director of Canada India Village Aid Association (CIVA), College of Denturists of BC, and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (B.C.).

He has been in the venture capital business since 1985, and during this period has been a director and/or officer of many North American public companies – in the process playing a pivotal role in British Columbia’s dynamic and growing economy. He has fostered companies in industries ranging from technology to modular buildings to mineral exploration.

Young humanitarian Tavisha Kochhar's organization, tavisha_s_helping_hands is trying to raise funds towards India Covid relief. Tavisha is the recipient of the Top 25 under 25 awards. She had made masks, and art from recyclable items during COVID19 to help out different organizations such as BC Children's Hospital, VGH, BC Cancer Foundation through fundraising.
