Ajay Devgn Is Using Me To Target Karan Johar: KRK

Darpan News Desk IANS, 03 Sep, 2016 03:38 PM
  • Ajay Devgn Is Using Me To Target Karan Johar: KRK
Addressing a press conference on Friday to clarify his stand, KRK slammed Ajay Devgn and claimed the actor was making him a scapegoat in his battle with filmmaker Karan Johar. He also denied taking any money from Karan.

KRK began his press conference by displaying a cheque issued by Kumar Mangat’s company in his name for Rs 3 crore and claimed close professional and personal rapport with Ajay and his business partner.

He then proceeded to attack Ajay’s claim of having an emotional connect with the industry as the actor stated in his official statement, KRK said, “Ajay Devgn was a 2 rupees person before joining the industry and today he is a billionaire. He has no emotional connect with the industry.

The only connect he has is that of money. He has not helped the old producers of Action Jackson after they suffered losses due to the movie flopping. He has never helped anyone. He has no emotional connect.

He is only interested in money. During Jab Tak Hai Jaan after the demise of Yash Chopra, everyone requested Ajay to shift the date of Son of Sardaar but he didn’t. That is his emotional connection with the industry.”

KRK further accused Ajay of making him a scapegoat to target Karan Johar and using the same modus operandi that he had unsuccessfully employed against Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Explained KRK,”He had slapped a legal case against YRF in which his contention was that in a competition you can’t do anything that is not fair. He wants to do something similar in this case too. He wants to fire the gun off my shoulders with Karan as the target. He wants to show that with Karan paying me money the rules of the competition have not been fair and wants to prove the same in the court of law.”

He then said he had mentioned about Karan Johar paying him Rs 25 lakh only as a ruse to stop Kumar Mangat from blaming him for tweeting positive about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, KRK said that he has not been paid any money by KJo nor is he a friend with whom he is in touch.

KRK has been slammed by various celebs for his offensive and sexist tweets in the past. On Thursday, Ajay tweeted a conversation between Khan and Mangat where he was asked why he was praising Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and attacking Shivaay.

KRK CONTRADICTING HIMSELF IN EXPLANATIONS: AJAY DEVGN

Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn, who demanded investigation against filmmaker Karan Johar for allegedly paying Kamaal R Khan Rs 25 lakh to tweet positive about his next film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (ADHM) and give negative reviews of Devgn's film "Shivaay", has said that Khan is contradicting himself in explanations.

Devgn, in a statement on Friday said: "We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. He is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference."

"He has not denied that it was his voice in the recording and he is now making excuses and contradicting himself. Where is the sanity here? You have heard what I have heard. It is upto you all to decide. Its his word against his own word," he added.

Earlier on Friday, Kamaal R Khan, known as KRK, held a press conference on and revealed that Karan Johar never gave him money to say anything bad about "Shivaay" or any film.

"Karan Johar never gave me money to say anything bad about "Shivaay" or for that matter, any film. So Ajay Devgn should stop firing the gun from my shoulder to target Karan Johar," Kamaal R Khan said at the press conference.

He further said: "People think if they get their name associated with me they will get publicity. Why else would Ajay Devgn drag me into this? This stunt will only garner negative publicity for the film. He doesn't trust his film and that is why he is relying on critics reviews."

PRAKASH JHA SUPPORTS AJAY DEVGN

Filmmaker Prakash Jha has supported actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn, who has demanded that filmmaker Karan Johar be probed for allegedly paying Kamaal R Khan (KRK) Rs 25 lakh to tweet positive about his next film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (ADHM) and give negative reviews of Devgn's film "Shivaay".

A few days back, Ajay shared an audio on Twitter in which KRK is heard explaining why he is favouring Karan.

Jha, who has worked with Ajay in films like "Raajneeti", "Satyagraha" and "Gangaajal", replied saying: "I'm not surprised Ajay Devgn. They are a scared lot. Manipulation their only means of survival. But Shiva is with you."

Ajay said in a statement on Friday: "We have only made you aware of what KRK has said.

It's his word against his own word," he added.

Earlier on Friday, KRK held a press conference revealed that Karan never gave him money to say anything bad about "Shivaay" or any film.
