I Bring Honest Characters To The Audience: Manoj Bajpayee

Darpan News Desk IANS, 28 Apr, 2016 12:21 PM
Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will be seen as a traffic constable in the upcoming thriller "Traffic", believes that he always brings honest characters in front of the audience through his films.

"I believe I do good movies and bring honest characters to the audience. I try to give a satisfying experience to moviegoers. Therefore, whatever is needed I would do that so that the film reaches to the maximum people," Manoj said.

"I am always available for promotions. Whatever I am needed to do I will do that. Even if they ask me to stand on the road wearing a traffic constable costume, I can do that too," the 47-year-old actor added.

Manoj is also to meet senior officials of traffic police.

"Traffic" is based on a road trip from Mumbai to Pune. The story revolves around transportation of a harvested heart for a heart transplant case, chasing a strict deadline. During the mission, the characters face numerous difficulties and obstacles, traffic being one of them.

Bollywood A-listers like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan were seen promoting the film on social media and at the events. Both the superstars are rooting for the success of "Traffic".

The "Aligarh" actor is overwhelmed with the support the film is garnering from the industry.

"When personalities like Salman Khan and Rishi Kapoor are taking interest about the film, it is a great support for us. Shah Rukh is my old friend. I felt thankful to him, he came to meet me at the time of promotion. I am grateful to all of them. I feel all these good things are happening due to Rajesh Pillai's blessings," Manoj said.

Rajesh Pillai, the director of "Traffic", passed away earlier this year.

Produced by Deepak Dhar of Endemol India and presented by Foxstar Studios, "Traffic" also stars Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Sachin Khedekar. It hits theatres on May 6.
