  • My hubby never would lay a hand on me: Mel B
Singer Mel B has spoken out in support of her husband Stephen Belafonte, saying "my hubby never would lay a hand on me".

The couple has been surrounded with domestic violence claims after she was hospitalised earlier this month.

Despite the American film producer vehemently denying ever hitting the former Spice Girl, who he has been married to since 2007, Mel B had remained quiet on the topic until now, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Taking to photo-sharing site Instagram Sunday night, Mel B shared a picture of the pair together, alongside the caption: "This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon! I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans."

The post comes after the "X Factor" judge made it clear her marriage is fine as she stepped out with him in California Friday. The couple were seen holding hands as they left a sushi restaurant in Tarzana, with their wedding rings firmly in place.

The family spent Christmas Day together, with Mel B sharing a cute group photo on Instagram, captioning it: "Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday".
