Filmmaker Karan Johar has said pouting was an art and "it takes a lot to push the boundaries" to get it right.

Karan was responding to a Twitter-user who had mentioned that she was "falling into the abyss of depression" after seeing the filmmaker, who has helmed movies like "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...", "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" among many, pouting in an image.

"I'm suddenly falling into the abyss of depression after seeing @karanjohar pouting. (Despite) Being a guy he does it better than me," the user tweeted.

The 43-year-old filmmaker expounded on the art of pouting by saying: "https://twitter.com/anjalihegde/status/684230092600430592... It's a fine art Anjali!! It takes a lot to push the boundaries of your lips and suck the contours of your cheeks!!"

Meanwhile, Karan is busy shooting his forthcoming film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" with actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who made her comback in 2015 with the film "Jazbaa".
