"Sarbjit" is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013 and died a few days later.

Richa will begin the shooting for the final schedule of the biopic from Thursday.

"The actress will be shooting in Amritsar with the entire star cast for 'Sarbjit'. Richa, who was shooting for 'Cabaret' till the previous day, is now looking forward to this next schedule of 'Sarbjit'. Richa might even meet Sukhpreet Kaur sometime this week," a source close to the actress said.

In the biopic, the "Fukrey" actress will be seen as the protagonist's wife Sukhpreet Kaur.

The actress also took to Twitter, where she wrote: "Travelling to my holy birthplace... For Sarbjit... Ambarsariya".
