Actors Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt took a sigh of relief after "Udta Punjab" finally made its way to the theatres on Friday despite all the controversies, and were happy with the initial response to the film.

The film will mark the first collaboration between Ali and the "Chennai Express" star.
Director Abhishek Chaubey's latest release "Udta Punjab" , based on drug abuse in the Indian state of Punjab, collected Rs 10.05 crores on its opening day in the country.
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has criticised the censor board after watching "Udta Punjab", saying the films being made in the country are treated "like patients in a mental institution".
The actress says she enjoys doing action and hopes the preparation will allow her to perform better in the film.
